Changes in PDX
There is a lot going on in the city of Portland, OR. This week marks the first week of summer and we are finally getting a glimpse of Portland sunshine. With all the warm weather, Ross and Eisley have had plenty of time to play outside and Eisley has learned a lot of new tricks. She has turned into a legitimate Frisbee dog, learning how to jump off of Ross' leg or back and catch the Frisbee four to five feet off the ground. She is amazing! If we could just make her understand how to walk on a leash, she would be pretty close to perfect!
We are starting to meet a few people in the area and are learning the city fairly well. I still get a little lost when I leave the main path of home to work and back, but I am learning the look and flow of the city if nothing else. Last Saturday night we had a wild adventure, going down to southeast and seeing the naked bike ride. The naked bike ride is an annual bike ride through a small area or Portland where riders cruise down the streets, well, naked, in support of or protesting a cause. This year the ride was to promote awareness of America's addiction to fossil fuels and in protest of BP's oil spill in the gulf coast. While the cause was good, the ride was a little nerve-racking for the audience watching the 10-13,0000 naked riders.
The apartment is starting to feel more like home, as we have been working hard to organize and decorate. Everything is coming together, and we want you all to come visit!!! Much love!
